Sheriff’s office lists arrests

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office made 94 arrests during April.

Arrests were for: driving under the influence, 10; driving during suspension/revocation, eight; felony assault, four; misdemeanor assault, three; misdemeanor theft, one; drugs, six; liquor law violations, 10; offense against family/children, two; and other, 50.

Offenses included: rape, one; felony assault, four; misdemeanor assault, two; burglary, one; felony theft, six; misdemeanor theft, nine; auto theft, four; sex offenses, two; and vandalism, 10.

Dodge County deputies issued 49 traffic citations,

95 traffic warnings and

35 equipment warnings; served 26 warrants; assisted 22 motorists; and answered 45 criminal complaints,

188 miscellaneous calls and 295 total calls.

There were 20 accidents within the county (12 property damage, eight personal injury). Contributing circumstances (driver) included: failure to yield right of way, disregard traffic signs/signals, exceeded authorized speed limit, driving too fast for conditions, followed too closely, failure to keep in proper lane, operating vehicle in erratic/reckless manner, swerving or avoiding due to wind, vehicle, etc., inattention, mobile phone distraction, fatigues/asleep and unknown.

Contributing circumstances (environment) included: weather conditions, animal on roadway and other.
