Police cite men with marijuana

A neighbor’s report of a marijuana smell resulted in two Fremont men being cited late Thursday evening, Fremont Police reported.

Brenton Pankote, 20, and Emmett McNamara, 20, each were cited with possession of marijuana-less than an ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia, infractions.

Lt. Glen Still said officers were called at 11:25 p.m. to an apartment building at 2469 Buckingham St. because a neighbor could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. Officer Todd Sabata took Lak, the department’s K-9, to the building to determine which apartment the odor was coming from.
