Two brothers were sentenced to jail and probation Tuesday in Dodge County Court for an attack that broke another man’s jaw.

Zachary Loberg, 22, of Fremont was sentenced to

30 days in jail followed by one year of probation for third-degree assault, a Class I misdemeanor. As part of his probation, he must complete an anger management class and an appropriate decision-making class.

Nathaniel Loberg, 20, of North Bend was sentenced to 30 days in jail followed by one year of probation for third-degree assault, a Class I misdemeanor. As part of his probation, he must complete an anger management class and an appropriate decision-making class.

Another co-defendant, Ross Cole, 24, of West Point previously was sentenced to one year in prison on an identical charge.

“The only reason you’re not going to prison for a year on this matter is that you don’t have the criminal history of your co-defendant,” Judge Kenneth Vampola said.
