To Jill...the one who always made me feel so special every time I came in to Mane Attractions. I will miss our fun talks and the catching up we did about our families. I used to tease you that nothing better ever happen to you, because you were the BEST! Of course you never took the credit when my hair looked good, you just said I had "good hair" (I knew better...it was because of YOU!). I feel SO blessed to have had you as my friend/hairdresser for 10 years.
To Bill and family....she adored all of you and I am praying that her warm, contagious smile will bring you many wonderful thoughts and memories to aid you during this difficult time.

Bill and kids- When Jill and I went to Bahner's together, we had so much fun being silly and having fun. Jill was such a friend to me and we really bonded. I had full intentions of getting together with her this summer as I recently retired. How I wish I had done it!!!! Jill will be sorely missed by her family and many friends that she made in her business. She was a special person. Love you Jill.

Heartfelt prayers for all of the Bowen-realted clan. It is inspiring to read such awesome things about Jill... I didn't know her as an adult, but my parents and hers were good friends and our families spent a lot of time together in younger years. May you feel God's presence during these days and know that Jill is perfect now as she walks with Jesus.

Jill was a student at Bahner's when I was there, we were close and helped each other out. When I first heard the news I was at my 40th (1968) class reunion this last Friday night, but the name didn't click. I am really shocked and give my Sympathy to the Chapman and Bowen families. Jill always had a smile for everyone. I hope Bill makes it through the process of healing with his condition, as well as the losing of his wife. PRAYERS go to the Children as well. God Bless and Take Care.

If I had known that when I talked to Jill last Friday, it would be the last time...I would have said so much more!! She was the real deal! When I find myself in tears, I think about some of the conversations we had and I totally crack up!! She was a riot! I will think of her EVERY time I look in the mirror (because I was supposed to get a perm on Monday and my hair looks like crap--LOL!! I loved our visits) I will miss her in many many ways!!
...and to Taylor...our door and our hearts are always open to you, day or night...we will be a soft and safe place for you to find comfort...all our love to each of you...

My sympathy goes out to the entire Chapman and Bowen families. Jill was an amazing woman, a wonderful friend and the best beautician anyone could ask for. She had an infectious smile, the most outgoing personality and biggest heart of anyone I've ever known. Someone who always asked about your family and loved to talk about hers. A loving wife, proud mom and devoted grandma taken away too soon.
Jill, I will miss our talks at the shop, our trips to state bowling and talking about our families. I hope you know how many lives you touched and that you will be greatly missed by each and every one of us.

Jill and I dated in high school until I left for college. Jill didn't want a long distance relationship which I understood though there has been more than a few times in my life when I thought that maybe I shouldn't have left.

What I have missed over the years is the same things everyone is writing here. Her smile, her laugh, and her ability to make an ordinary event extraordinarily fun.

Jill was not the kind of person who anyone who has known her can ever forget. Once she is touches your heart, she is there forever.

You'll just have to trust me on this, Jill is never going to stop bringing a smile to your face. I haven't seen her in over thirty years and she still sneaks into my thoughts and brings them to me.

Jill was an amazing individual. I will forever miss her and the caring person she was. Jill is the only person who ever cut my hair, from my childhood until my last visit Thursday night. This is Mariella - Jills sister - and words cannot express the grief and anguish my family is feeling at this tragic time in our lives. I would like to use this venue to express my deepest condolences to all of Jill's friends and extended family. I would also like to take a moment to thank you all for making this time somewhat bearable through all of your care, kind words, thoughtfullness and just making sure things were taken care of. I grieve for all of you at the loss of your good friend, co-worker, hair-dresser, buisiness asso., the list goes on . . . I'm thankful that I've had the opportunity to get to know some of you over the years, and it brightens my spirit at this time to know what good and loving people my sister Jill shared her life with. Again - thank you all for all you do. God Bless

Her Journey's Just Begun...

Don't think of her as gone away-
her journey has just begun
life holds many facets
the Earth is only one

Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years

Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away

And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost-
And she was loved so much.

Our deepest sympathies to Bill and the Chapman and Bowen families. I graduated with Jill and Larry graduated with Bill, and although we live in Omaha now, we still have many connections in Fremont, and heard about Jill from 3 people Sat. morning. We haven't kept in touch over the years but I do remember the last time I ran into her; at my sister's 4th of July party a few years back. We caught up on our families, and I will whole-heartedly agree with all of the other well-wishers. You didn't talk to Jill without laughing and smiling because hers was so contagious. I am so saddened for this tragic loss of life. May God's love and peace be with you all.

Even though I didn't see Jill much, I knew her from school and every time I would run into her, she was just so warm and friendly. She always asked about my family. My heart aches for the family and co-workers who have to go through this aweful tragedy. Time will heal some of this pain (I know personally) but never never forget how many peoples lives she touched and impacted. God Bless you all!

I am so sad about the news. I couldn't ask for a better friend in high school. I visited with Jill at our last class reunion and she confirmed why I still have her in my memories. So caring and upbeat. A wonderful person to look forward to in heaven!! I already see her cute dimples!
