The funeral for Erwin Stork, 90 of Wisner will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Colonial Haven Nursing Home Chapel in Beemer.
He died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer.
He was born Oct. 4, 1917, in rural Wisner to Louis and Hulda (Degner) Stork. He was baptized at home and later confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer. He attended Cuming County Rural School District 7 and graduated from Wisner High School in 1936. He farmed with his father until moving to Arizona in the 1950s. There he worked as a carpenter and at a lumberyard. He took pride in the home he built in Arizona. After living in Arizona for 20 years, he returned to the family farm and continued farming until retiring.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elsie Stork; and two brothers, Roy and Harvey Stork.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Kuzelkaa-Minnick Funeral Home in Beemer and will continue one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the nursing home. Burial will be in the Beemer Cemetery.
