Bart Scheer, 33, of Fremont died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at his home.
Bart was born Oct. 11, 1974, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Duane and Marla (Warbis) Scheer. He lived in Fort Dodge until age 12, when he became a Fremont resident. He graduated from Fremont High School.
Most of his working years were spent in the outdoors, and included working in construction and for a sand and gravel company. The past year, he was employed by Jayhawk Boxes Inc. here in Fremont. A car enthusiast, he was a member of the Outkast Car Club.
Bart is survived by: his mother and stepfather, Marla and Lynn Mikelson of Fremont; his father and stepmother, Duane and Pat Scheer of Fort Dodge; a sister, Shellee (and husband, Terry) Ressler and their son, Derrick of Fort Dodge; and a brother, Troy Lindner and his children, Matthew and Jennifer of Waterloo, Iowa.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
