Loren K. Anderson, 91, of Fremont, formerly of North Bend, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Arbor Manor Living Center in Fremont.
He was born Nov. 26, 1916, in North Bend to Charles and Martha (Corn) Anderson. He grew up at North Bend and was a graduate of North Bend High School. He farmed near North Bend until 1972, then drove a school bus for 11 years. He served in various capacities at Woodland Cemetery at North Bend. He was sexton, caretaker, maintenance man, grave digger and board member. He lived in North Bend until moving to Fremont in April 2003.
He married Ruby L. Connerley on Sept. 20, 1945, in North Bend. She died March 26, 2003.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda (and husband, Bill) Hindmarsh of Fremont and Karen (and husband, Bill) Hubbard of Troy, Mont.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a brother.
The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at The Presbyterian Church Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. William A. Lewis officiating. There is no visitation, however, friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Private burial will be in Woodland Cemetery at North Bend.
