Recycling: You can do your part in Fremont, too


Waste Connections Inc. operates a recycling center at 1200 Hamilton St., east of Hormel Foods Corp.; 721-7511 or 1-800-279-7511. Hours are: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday. Recycling bins also are located next the Hy-Vee at the Fremont Mall.

The recycling center accepts only these products: No. 2 plastic soap jugs; 2-liter plastic pop bottles and clear No. 1 plastic containers; plastic milk jugs, tin cans; aluminum beverage cans; telephone books; newsprint; corrugated cardboard; and office paper.
