All in the family

Family is the foundation for Boltinghouse Construction.

Dave and Kamie Boltinghouse, a husband and wife team, have been building dreams for people for almost five years.

“I did room additions for 15 years,” Dave said. “Kamie and I pride ourselves in surrounding ourselves with good people that work with us — not for us. They’re part of our family.

“That’s what sets us apart from other builders. It’s a team effort,” Dave added.

The company’s tagline is “Experience the Difference.”

“I am involved in the whole building process from beginning to end,” Kamie said. “I know and understand the building process from the foundation work, to framing, to the roof — to the finished product.”

A home is a big investment, Kamie said — and Boltinghouse Construction is there to offer the entire package.

Also a real estate agent with Premier One Real Estate, Kamie can list a client’s home, help in purchasing a lot and in building the home.

She also offers advice on “that softer side of building,” she said.

Two years ago, Boltinghouse Construction completed a home in Deer Pointe for Steve and Julie Navarrette of Fremont.

“Kamie is very talented in design work,” Steve said. “It’s nice to have a hands-on contractor.”

To date, the company has built about 20 homes.

“We don’t build a tract home or the same house twice,” Dave said.

The company also considers each new job carefully.

“I don’t want 10 (homes) going at once. You lose track,” Dave said.

Even though the Navarrettes had a design in mind, they were open-minded and understanding of the building process, Dave said. A home that size typically takes about five months to complete, he added.

Through the construction process, new relationships are also built.

“We become close to people we work with. Steve and Julie — we became closer to them going through this process,” Dave said.

Almost like family.
