WAHOO - Wahoo Neumann scored 12 points in the fourth quarter Friday to upend Bennington 15-10 in high school football.
Tyler Benal scored Neumann’s winning touchdown on a 26-yard run with 5:13 to play and the Cavaliers’ defense then held Bennington out of the end zone.
Benal finished with 122 yards rushing on 21 carries. He also had a 48-yard reception which set up Neumann’s first touchdown, a 2-yard run by Keith Chvatal.
Bennington (1-1) scored all 10 of its points in the first half, including a 40-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Bohn to Ben Sowers.
The Cavaliers (1-1) play at Syracuse next Friday.
