About a year ago, a group of civic-minded Fremont residents gathered to begin planning some type of city wide art project. From those efforts, Fremont: Big Fish of the Platte was born.   Here you will find portraits of each of the 35 five-foot tall catfish along with the name of the artists, the sponsors and where to find the fish. A map with a possible tour route is also included. And don't forget to land your own Big Fish gear! (Printable map and order form may take a while to load.)   A Big Fish Fry and Big Fish Auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 16th, 2004 at St. Patrick's Auditorium on 4th and Union streets in Fremont. The Big Fish Fry, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, will take place at 5 p.m. with the Big Fish Auction following at 7 p.m. Plan to attend these community events!   Without the support of the project's sponsors, Fremont: Big Fish of the Platte would not be possible.
