FREMONT Fremont, Nebraska is a hidden treasure located just thirty minutes from Omaha and one hour from Lincoln. With a population of 25,314, Fremont is just right for people who want to enjoy good neighbors, low crime rate and exceptional educational choices. Our retail sector boasts of a thriving downtown historic business district with a wide range of shopping choices that fill the needs of the most discriminating shopper. Fremont has recently completed a new four-lane freeway system with three diamond interchanges traveling from east to west. We also have a four-lane highway coming from the north and another under construction from the south. The Highway 30 project is also being planned that will allow for highway traffic to Grand Island. The current 275 bypass and newly constructed Dodge Street corridor in Omaha allows you direct access to the Omaha metropolitan area in less than 30 minutes with no stop signs.
