Energy conservation is a buzz word today. Everyone is getting on the band wagon to conserve, including our presidential candidates. I started a daily walking regimen on the east side of Fremont about a month ago and noticed that not everyone is practicing conservation.
I believe that Mayor "Skip" Edwards was right to vote against the illegal immigrant ordinance. This law, as written, is a bad law. Nebraska’s attorney general has advised that it is probably unconstitutional and therefore unenforcable. Are we ready to litigate this all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court?
After reading the article in Saturday’s Trib, I was upset with Mr. Ekeler’s remark at the end of the article.
